This video goes over female hair aesthetics. There'll be another video for male hair aesthetics coming out soon as there's too much to properly fit in one video on the topic.

A part of me is SO curious to have an aesthetic report done on my face. But at the same time I don’t have the self esteem right now to hear I’m scientifically ugly. 🙃

Thank you for including the bit on afro textured hair. I have very kinky-curly, thick hair and when I first decided to cut my hair off and embrace my natural texture, my family was horrified. I realize that historically, this could alter my chances to be seen as desirable by men, get a good job, and avoid stares. Nowadays I wear my hair in a huge picked out fro and it gets tons of stares. People are amazed and perplexed by my texture as well as the fact that I actually like it. sad but true. There's always a fear in the back of my mind that because of my kinky hair I'm not actually attractive. As a young black girl you learn very quickly that long, wavy or even loose curls are more acceptable. Even with dating, I've gotten less attention from certain black men since they too prefer long hair (colorism+texturism for ya). I've fully embraced my texture and love it but it's certainly a journey to feel beautiful and feminine when you're taught from family and society that you won't be wanted if you wear your natural texture. Surprisingly, I get a lot of positive feedback on my hair texture from non black people compared to black people, and that just goes to show how conditioned we are to not like our own texture.

Very interesting video! Can you please make one on how weight in the face impacts attractiveness? Is there such a thing as perfect weight? What do the numbers really say? Thank you!! I love your videos always!

I guess long hair suits to women with chubby face but women with long face and sharp jawline can slay in short hair.

What do you mean when you say ethnicity? Do you mean separate societies with their own cultures and institutions? Or subgroups within one society that labels its members as different ethnicities? These are two very different situations.

Why are we still deciding if a woman is attractive or not based in a biased (and sometimes quite unrealiatic) male point of view?? Wtf plus people aren't school tests, we DO NOT need to be "rated from 1 to 10". That's objectifiying and insulting.

Let me tell y’all something. I wasn’t the cutest sperm in the sack; I have the biggest fucking nose, round ass face, small ass droopy eyes, and uneven lips. I literally used to wear my hair down to hide myself all the time, didn’t want people to see my face shape or my slight double chin cause it’s embarrassing I felt everyone regardless looked better than me. My mom used to cringe at it and tell me to wear my hair back because it makes my face look thin and not fat and round. I was like “Yeah right” cause she didn’t go through what I did cause she has a perfect V shaped face and small nose and full lips etc. but, I got tired of using those Asian beauty apps, my pictures were so crusty and fake looking. I tried new makeup styles up the yingyang, until I realized. My mom WAS right.

For ANYONE and EVERYONE, it’s not the fucking face shape, features/insecurities you have that makes you ugly. You’re making yourself ugly, and thus that’s how you only see yourself. Just brush that hair back from your face, short hair or long hair. It makes you look CLEAN, SOFT, CONFIDENT. Having hair in your face is NOT attractive idc if you think that movies/models/etc “look cute” like that. Everything in the media is over exaggerated, setting fake standards for beauty for everyone. EMBRACE YOUR FACE. No one is ugly, you’re who you are. Don’t hide, Show it off. There’s 1000% someone out there that is meant for you, even if you feel like you’re too ugly to be loved or be looked at by others in a way of affection. Someone thinks you’re absolutely gorgeous somewhere in the world. Something as simple as brushing or clipping your hair up away from your face can make a huge difference

This video had so much potential…if throughout history people made women wear short hair then men in this study would say short hair is what makes women pretty. This study is so biased. Men’s perception of beauty doesn’t equal beauty at all.

Surprised to see Ruby Rose mentioned since she is not really seen as attractive to men. Men seem to view her as too masculine looking while women love her. I don't agree with some of the things said, some people who look good with short hair would look terrible with long hair and some people who look good with long hair would look bad with short hair, regardless of their attractiveness level it has more to do with face shape. I have never seen a round face women pull of short hair- ever where as women with square faces look good with short hair since they have that andrognous look already with square face shape.

I found it interesting that he didn't mention how hair color can contrast with your other features creating a more striking and attractive look. This was mentioned in his other video about eyes. For example, if you have dark hair with light eyes you will be perceived as more attractive than someone with dark hair and dark eyes.
