@dallasebony Hi, I just eyeballed it. I measured the length I wanted the practice braid to be, then doubled it and folded the yarn in half. I then used a small bit of yarn to tie them up in the middle. I hope that makes sense. Maybe I'll do a quick video on it. x
Oktober 6, 2020 @ 6:46 pm
Question how did you measure and tie the yarn up?

@jkane8820 Thank you! No, I bought the different colored balls of yarn then unraveled and cut them to the lengths I needed. I bought the balls of yarn from Jo-Anne fabrics store. I made each color into a separate “ponytail" type section and then used rubber bands to join them depending on the colors I want to use. That way I can switch between 2, 3 or 4 color practice pieces whenever I needed to. I hope this made sense. 🙂

Did the yarn come in the strings when you bought it or did you have to unwrap it from a role? Where did you buy it? Do you place a rubberband at the top to combine the three colors for braiding? Your videos are very helpful.

@benikka When I'm braiding hair I actually use weave thread that you get at the beauty supply store. It's very durable and inexpensive. 🙂
Oktober 6, 2020 @ 6:46 pm

Oktober 6, 2020 @ 6:46 pm
